The CostX Fundamentals course aims to inform and demonstrate the principles of 2D Measurement and the principles of more advanced use of Workbooks using RIB CostX

It provides a structured foundation in digital estimating workflows, combining essential skills in 2D measurement and workbook-based cost breakdowns. Learners progress from basic setup to advanced techniques, ensuring competence in core estimating tasks aligned with professional CPD standards.

This bundle includes a CostX Temporary License which can be used for the period of training. RIB will issue a license serial number via email with instructions for installation.

• Project & Drawing Setup: Create projects, import building data, and prepare common drawing formats for accurate measurement.
• Precision Measurement: Apply point and line modes, dimension groups, and shortcuts to measure areas, lengths, and counts efficiently.
• Structured Data Management: Build and manage workbooks to organise quantities, link dimension groups, and maintain live updates for dynamic cost models.
• Quantity & Rate Integration: Populate quantity sheets, apply rate sheets for cost breakdowns, and leverage libraries for consistent pricing logic.
